During your pregnancy and the delivery of your baby, Dr Shammas will be there to guide and support you through each step of your journey. She will take time to answer your questions and work with you to implement a safe birth plan that supports yours and your baby’s needs.
As a woman and a mother, she understands that women need a wide range of support services during their pregnancy including physical, mental and emotional assistance. She and her team ensure they take the time to understand the individual needs of every woman in their care.

Dr Shammas is a strong believer in preventative care and health maintenance for women, and is certified in colpscopy for abnormal pap smear.
A highly skilled surgeon, Dr Shammas is trained in minimally invasive surgery and has a special interest in vaginal and vulval plastics, reconstructive and repair surgery.
She is an advocate of natural birth wherever possible, and is experienced in high-risk and complex conditions, and supports women with twin and multiple pregnancies, previous caesarean sections and uncomplicated breech presentations. She and her dedicated practice and midwife team offer all women in their care a supportive environment and educative information to allow them to be actively involved in decisions around their care.
