Dr Shammas provides a wide range of gynaecological services and is able to care for women and girls of all ages. Each woman in her care is treated based on their individual needs. Her gynaecological services include:
- Preconception counselling
- Pregnancy testing and counselling
- Birth control, including Depo-Provera, IUD insertion and Norplant
- STD testing and treatment
- Infertility evaluation and treatment, including ovulation induction with Clomiphene Citrate
- Cervical Screening Test / Smear testing, and evaluation and treatment of abnormal CST smears, including colposcopy, cryotherapy, cone biopsy and LLETZ
- Evaluation of irregular bleeding, including the use of transvaginal ultrasound, Novasure treatment
- Breast exams and evaluation of breast problems
- Evaluation of pelvic pain
- Management of endometriosis
- Management of perimenopause, menopause, and hormone replacement therapy
- Gynaecological surgery, including extensive experience in laparoscopic procedures
